Vintage rides & seaside vibes:
California-inspired 0ld School Cool day at the beach, pre-90s vehicles and rides including: Aircooled+, hotrod, scooters, low rider bikes, retro early water-cooled with show & shine awards, independent street food traders, independent makers, music, official merchandise, refreshments and not forgetting Barry Island beach and amusements – all welcome! California vibe with cal look clothes vibe.
Rothfink Industries presents ‘Barryfornia’ – An old school cool, aircooled+ day set in the heart of Gavin & Stacey’s very own Barry Island Beach, South Wales (just 5 miles from Cardiff)!

This is a pre-90s, old school day at the beach vintage aircooled+ early water-cooled event – hit the link to email us with a photo and bio of your vehicle. If you’re accepted, you will be sent a link to purchase a ticket. Also if your on instagram, give us your page name we will give you a follow & take a look.

Entry from 8.30am and the gate will close at 10.00am. Successful applicants will receive an email with show details and link to buy show car tickets.
£15 per vehicle

Motorbikes, scooters & lowriders
(pay on the day)
Arrive from 8.30am (no entrance for your vehicle after 10am / you will only be able to leave from 4pm)
£3 per bike
As this is a public space (on the prom), there will be no vehicle movement during the day and you will only be able to move your vehicle after 4pm. This is a ticket only event for vehicles wanting to display on the prom. Purchased tickets are non refundable Management reserves the right to refuse entry to vehicles who don’t meet the criteria, please contact us before to avoid disappointment.
Awards
We’ll be running several awards that will be drawn at 3.30pm approx, with categories including: best Split Screen, Best Baywindow, scooter / lowrider / motorbike / bus / car, most Cal-look dude & dudette plus others to be announced.
Trader info
We welcome pre-booked traders and auto-jumble to the event which will be held around the gardens area – we will have a dedicated area for traders. Payment from traders will be taken on the day.
- Food traders welcome (with a minimum ‘3’ food hygiene rating only)
- No ice cream vendors (sorry, but there’s lots on the prom)
- A basic risk assessment would be required from traders
- Arrival time: from 8am
